Ching is, together with teammate Ryan Zhi Jwen Yee, the first skater to represent Malaysia at an ISU Championship (2011 World Junior Championships). Ching also skated pairs for two years. Coach Jamal Othman is a Swiss champion and competed at the World and Olympic level.
