Cha is the first Korean male skater to win an ISU Championship title (2022 Four Continents title) and to win a World medal (silver at the 2023 World Championships). Cha trained for several years in Canada before moving his training base back to Korea in 2020 when the pandemic started. He was a child actor and appeared in movies and commercials. In 2020, he performed as a singer in a Korean TV show. He had to withdraw from the 2022 World Championship due to a broken skating boot. | |||||||||||
