Sheiko is coached by his parents. His brother Kirill (three years younger) competes at the international junior level in figure skating as well. Their mother Julia (neé Shapiro) is the 2000 ISU World Junior bronze medalists in pair skating (with Alexei Sokolov, representing Russia) and also competed for Israel in pair skating at the World level.
